Victoria... tori looked down, then back up at the screen, which was now blurred through a veil of tears. She took off her sweater quickly and tossed it back on the chair.. she sat and waited.
Mark... Mark sighed and rolled his eyes. "You know i have a crazy schedule. I just get here too early for us to smoke together." He turned back to his computer to finish up the report. "If i didn't have to worry about getting in trouble, i'd smoke all day."
Victoria... Tori thought to herself "well, he certainly looks busy, perhaps I should just leave it at that. Then she looked down at her desk, at her cigarette and lighter, lying next to eachother. A happy couple. Then she thought of Mark, who had led her to believe that he wanted to go with her. Then let her down. "I HATE YOU I HATE YOU" she screamed in her head. Out loud she asked.. "Anyone else up for a smoke?"
Mark... Mark wondered as he worked on his report. When will she just come out and say what she truly feels? She knows it, and i know it. She can't stand me. And if she'd just say it things would be much much easier. He sighed again and tried to focus on the numbers ... they, much like everything else in his life refused to make any sense.

Victoria... Tori sat waiting for a response, but not expecting one. Wasn't this just typical? She set herself up for disspointment every morning. Perhaps she craved the rejection, on the other hand, maybe she was just being piggish and should wait the extra hour for her friends instead of asking them to disprupt their schedule and go with her. Tori's boss came and stood right next to her computer. Tori just doesn't know if she should close this window at this point or not...
